The amazing family.fit program was born in 2020, designed by God, through his people, to help families to keep fit and healthy, while discipling their children and encouraging growth in character and faith. The COVID-19 pandemic that kept millions of families at home in lockdown provided a context in which Family.fit spread quickly.
Millions access family.fit on their phone, tablet or computer, through the website, Facebook, Instagram, YouVersion Bible App and YouTube. It’s available in almost 30 languages.
Just as God’s family exists in many shapes and sizes, family.fit has developed to suit a wide range of different settings, including large gatherings, team meetings, and work with particular groups like displaced people and the differently-abled.
The simple structure includes physical activity for all ages and abilities (move, challenge, and play), along with a Bible passage to explore and reflective questions, all while promoting quality time together. And lots of laughs!

In its first few months, family.fit was being used by over half a million families, including 500 families of a major faith in west Africa. We received this message from Medellin, Columbia, soon after the program was launched. “We appreciate this initiative and I am very excited to put it into practice. In quarantine, I have shared it with my entire church and sports group. I want to continue participating in this.”
The program is truly an international effort, with more than 200 people from around the world contributing to family.fit sessions and managing its production — including writing, translation, video production, design, web, production management and oversight.
